Hi, I’m Paris.
I am a young, experienced, self taught artist based in Stanley, Tasmania, Australia - specialising in realism fine art portraits.
I have had an interest in drawing since I was a little girl, always having a pencil in my hand. With a wide range of skills and knowledge, I will capture your loved ones (past and present) from a photo.
I have had the honour of achieving a wide range of awards during my art career, starting at age 11 with being in the top 32 out of 26,000 entries nationwide for the doodle 4 Google competition, to winning the CHARTchibald 2025 portrait prize.
I am so grateful that this is my career, and I look forward to creating a portrait for you.
Why this drawing?
This drawing is of my Scottish Fold, Diddle, who passed away in January of 2024. Diddle had been my best friend since I was 3, we were inseparable. A couple months after she passed, I bought myself my first tin of pastel pencils, and decided to use them on a memorial portrait for her. This is that portrait - and the first ever attempt at using this medium.
I didn’t realise before how much a memorial portrait can help with healing and grieving the loss of your best friend. 2 years later, almost every portrait I do is in the memory of a lost loved one, and i’m honoured to be apart of their healing journey…
and it all started with Diddle.
